1st For women insurance failed me
I am a 1st for women client,My car was in an accident 28th September 2020 around 16h00.I checked the car and all seemed fine, the following day which was the 29th the car started reporting drive train error and started smoking up.I took the car to the closest machenic who is Bmw approved,he diagnosed the car and advised we report it to the insurance.I then registered a claim.
Since the 29th of September ,1st for women only attended my car in November because according to them they were still doing investigations? There is an assessor Adriaan Venter who was very rude, he called my husband and wanted to meet with him to do the investigation but at the time my husband was at Carletonville attending to his work, He asked him to call me as I am the owner of the car and I was the one driving the car. I called Adriaan more than 10 times he did not pick up the phone,I even sent him a message he did not reply, my husband called again when he was back at Krugersdorp from Carletonville still no answer. He later got hold of him but he dropped the phone on my husband's ear and said just leave it if you do not want to talk to me. I called him back but he ignored me and he just sent an email to say "your claim has been sent through for finalisation and Ayanda Feti will contact you in discourse, thank you"(21/10/2020)
I had a coutesey car which was due to expire due to their delays ,they extended twice but on the 17th of November I had to take the car back because they could not extend anymore yet my car was not ready.I was sent from pillar to post asked to call the panel beaters to find out how far is my car but the panel beaters never called and I could not get hold of them.I was left frustrated and stranded as I need the car for to go to work and drive my child to school.
Later Ayanda told me the car was ready and I can go collect it.When I got there my car was in a very bad state than when I last saw it.The bumbrt was loose, fender cover for front wheel is missing,They did not fix the brakes properly because the insurance told the panelbeaters it was not a result of the accident? How does an insurance give back the car to a client with brakes that are not fully functional and how did they come to the conclusion it was not because of the current accident. My car was fine before this accident but since the accident on the 28th it reports drive train error.I pay close to R2000 every month and I do not deserve the service I received from 1st for women. When I collected my car it was dirty and has sticky things on the body,my husband had to wash the car himself at home and use hot water to remove those things.I think they stored my car under the tree for the past 2 months. I was told the total damage to the car was R11000 which I had to pay R9750 excess fee but the car is still beyond repaired, its really bad even the panel beaters said so when I collected the car. This is as good as fixing my own car.
They delayed with the investigation so that they can find any fault to use so that they do not pay for the damages.I feel what they are advertising on TV is false adverti*****t and they are not helpful and do not care for their clients.Ever since I complained yesterday they told me the manager will call me,until now nothing!!!!!!
I feel so depressed and I do not understand what am I paying the insurance for,When I joined the insurance everything was smooth and I felt protected and in the right hands but now I feel I threw myself in the Lions den. 1ST FOR WOMEN MUST FALL!
