1st for women doesn't put women first

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the handling of my recent insurance claim and the condition in which my vehicle was returned following repairs.

On 27 March 2025, my vehicle was struck by a truck while parked in a parking lot. Following extensive back-and-forth communication with your team, my vehicle was returned on 19 June 2025. I was initially relieved to receive it back, but that relief was quickly overshadowed by mechanical issues I noticed during my drive home. The vehicle’s performance was noticeably compromised and not as smooth as prior to the accident.

I contacted your call centre on Monday, 23 June, to report these concerns. I listed the issues I was experiencing and was informed that I would receive feedback within 24 hours. Later that same day, while driving home, I experienced a particularly distressing incident: the vehicle’s lights began switching off and on intermittently while in motion. This sudden electrical fault placed me in a dangerous situation and caused considerable alarm.

When I followed up the next day, I was told by a call centre agent that it would take 24 working hours for a response. I was further informed that the allocated person would only be calling to acknowledge my complaint—not to resolve it immediately. I raised additional concerns at that point, but the agent was dismissive and showed no empathy. When I requested to speak to a team leader, my request was declined, and I was merely told someone would contact me. That follow-up call has still not occurred.

At present, I am left with a vehicle I do not feel safe driving. The issues clearly suggest that the repairs were not completed to a proper standard. Meanwhile, I am still expected to pay premiums to a company that has not demonstrated adequate concern for my safety or satisfaction.

After writing on Hello Peter with regards to my complaint, First for women took swift action to contact me and I had thought that my complaint would also be treated with urgency, to my dismay the last call or contact with my insurer was on the 26th of June and nothing after that no feedback nothing after I took my vehicle in on Monday 30 June, on thursday I had to go myself to the repair center to try get some sort of feedback and met up with thier assessor who give me feedback that I was still not satisfied with since the problems I was experiencing were not there before the accident, one of the explanations I was given was that my car was shaking because of my tires and on the Thursday went and paid for fitment of 4 new tyres which was done on the Thursday however still no feedback as to if the problem continued or not after the new tyres were fit in it has been 7 days without a vehicle and my insurer is radio silent and this morning called into the complaints department and was informed the person dealing with my complaint was busy and would call me back the minute they are available, I am really disappointed in the way FFW is dealing with this matter and the lack of communication that I have been experiencing since the start of my claim process as most of the communication was from my side, The only time I received great service was when I was dealing with Lynette who consistently kept in touch and gave timeously feedback unfortunately I can't say the same about everyone else. FFW can I get feedback, you can't begin to even understand the inconvenience I have had to experience from this whole claim
