1st For Women clearly for me!

Good day (this message was sent to 1st for Women on their page and as such this is a copy and paste of same)

On 31 July 2020 I was hit by another vehicle and have done all that was necessary, e.g. immediately calling my insurer (yourselves) for immediate assistance, which I received in the form of a tow truck. As soon as the claim was lodged I was informed that I was not entitled to a courtesy vehicle, after I had asked for one, wherein after I explained I am on comprehensive. Fast forward to the following Tuesday 04 August 2020, I was afforded a claim handler, an Ayanda Feti, with whom I had quiet a lengthy discussion (which discussion got heated) as pertains my claim as well as what I was entitled to. Considering all that was discussed, even your claim handler was in agreement with me, that there was no explanation prior to the claim, that was afforded to me as pertains the so called "7 years uninterrupted insurance with no claim amounting to a discounted premium" (nothing even on the recording about discount, save for the consultant commenting on how old my driver's licence issue date was and how it would nicely affect my premiums- but nothing further other than asking me about my old vehicle and some mention of May 2013, yet nothing has been queried on a vehicle I drove then which the consultant failed to delve into. Recording shows clearly shows that when the question of some 7 year insurance I was uncertain BUT when asked if any vehicles I drove from this period were at that point comprehensively insured I said yes, HOWEVER nothing on continuity for a period of seven years was confirmed by myself) nor was there a decline on my end for a courtesy vehicle, hence I was afforded one (courtesy vehicle from EuropCar) and my premium increased with that addition, same will be deducted on my next pay date 14 August 2020).

Further to that, Ayanda stated to me after my emails that he too had listened thoroughly to the initial recording and found that it was erroneous on the end of the consultant, meaning the insurer, and as such on or about Thursday 06 August 2020 Ayanda sent my claim to his manager for authorization since the fault was not on my end.

I have since received a rejection, to my baffle as I know very well I did not misrepresent myself, and I am also aware (remember your calls are recorded) that your claim handler, Ayanda Feti also found the same to be true. This situation I find myself in, on a holiday when I cannot reach anyone but have to simply wait for the manager in charge of my claim to call me, which time is indeterminable, is totally unfair.

I have as much as was given to me, communication between myself and the claim handler and I feel that I have just had the carpet pulled right from under my feet. I DID NOT MISREPRESENT MYSELF and therefore I find the basis of the rejection of my claim unfair and very careless at my expense. It is clear, from the recording, that I asked the gentleman for clarity and he scantily went through to the end and confirmed without me ordering any (now being raised "confirmed discounted premium" which is the basis of the rejection of my claim) such which is now my issue during this trying time.

By the way the information on the 3rd party and a witness was afforded to the claim handler at initial receipt of the claim. I need this to be rectified as I did not misrepresent myself and am of the opinion that rejection of my claim is just as erroneous and unfair. Fix this please.
