1st for Woman ensuring that I could be NEXT!
In a time where women are afraid for their lives, afraid of being assaulted, ****d or ******ed. This company who claims to have women's protection at the centre of their establishment, left me stranded alone on the side of a freeway at night. I used the app to try request every possible form of help but the app continued to say 'wait 5min'. I then phoned the call center for a so called 'angel' to come and wait with me. However, I was once again dissapointed by the lack of service or understanding of a women's plight in this county. The man on the phone clearly did not care that I was afraid nor did he try to help in any way. He made matters worse by asking a whole lot of questions about my personal details and policy with 1st for women. Does the establishment not have all of this information on hand? This was clearly an emergency where I felt unsafe. Why are women being treated as if their fear is not justified, especially by a company that publicly states that their services are specifically for the protection of women!!?
I am extremely dissapointed and feel violated by 1st for Women's lies to protect me. I called my family who then helped me change the tyre. 1st for Women has since not contacted me. I had to call in to their call Centre to lay a complaint.
As a women in South Africa, I am incredibly let down. We are not safe, even with those who claim to protect us.

Does your organization even have female representatives?! In what world do think it's appropriate to get a male representative to talk to a women who has clearly expressed her fear of being asssulted, ****d or ******ed by men.
I was contacted by a male representative, I clearly mentioned that I felt extremely comfortable talking to him and requested a female representative. I received another call and again another male representative when I specifically asked for a female representative! How can your organisation call yourself first for women when it clearly has no women-friendly support. Do you intend on retraumatising women!? Because that's how I felt when two male representatives called me to 'deal' with my matter! I still have not been contacted my a female representative.
Apologies are not enough! 1st for Women needs to be held accountable for you lies, marketing your services on the premise of protecting women is disgusting. Women have enough fear in our lives. We deserve better!
