Our Resort Dumped from First Exchange's Resort List

Over a year ago we were advised that our timeshare at Durban Sands was being sold off and we could either be renters of our week there or choose another timeshare resort. As we always change our unit over to timeshare points, we opted for the latter. Also as pensioners we do not need the hassle of trying to get renters and all that this entails. One of the resorts on First Exchange's list of resorts we could pick was Glenmore Sands at Glenmore Beach. Before signing anything we went down to Glenmore Sands to have a look. We were pleased with what we saw, so we signed the contract to move over to Glenmore Sands. It took about a year for the transfer of Glenmore Sands to come through and just after that we received an email from First Exchange to say they were not affiliated anymore to Glenmore Sands. I queried this and was told I didn't need to worry as I had a peak 3 week and therefore I would still be affiliated to First Exchange. Just after signing the Glenmore Sands documents to receive our share certificate, we then received another email from First Exchange stating again that they would not be affiliated to Glenmore Sands anymore. I felt as though I had just been dumped, so now I have a week at Glenmore Sands but cannot change this into points and I stipulated right from the beginning that I wanted to remain on a points system. I wrote to Suvashan Pillay asking why I had been dumped right after transfer had gone through and that after all this resort was on their list? I did not receive the courtesy of a reply! It would seem that First Exchange recommended timeshare resorts just to get them off their hands and dump their clients as soon as transfer has gone through! I have been with First Exchange for years and think that some kind of explanation should be forthcoming and what they plan to do with the people they have just dumped with no timeshare agent, also when did they know they would be getting rid of Glenmore Sands? Did they know about this long before transfer started and were just biding their time?
