Poor service and unfair charges
I had a very disappointing experience with First Class Parking at OR Tambo Airport and will never use them again. I dropped my car off an hour early and, due to getting lost on my return, I accidentally went to the drop-off area instead of the pick-up area. I had to wait for an attendant to come and walk me to the correct collection point, which meant I ended up collecting my car about an hour and a half later than my booking. Despite the circumstances, I was charged R300 for that extra hour and a half, which felt excessive and opportunistic. When I dropped my car off, I was also persuaded to pay extra for valet service. Unfortunately, when I got my car back, it smelled terrible, there was sand throughout the interior, and the boot was covered in dust. It certainly didn’t look like a vehicle that had received any extra care. To make matters worse, when I questioned the additional charge, the staff member I initially spoke to was polite enough in person. However, when I later called the number he had given me to discuss the issue further, the conversation quickly became confrontational. He raised his voice at me instead of trying to resolve my concerns professionally, which I found completely unacceptable. Overall, I felt taken advantage of rather than valued as a customer. Between the excessive charge, the poor condition of my car after paying for valet, and the unprofessional way my complaint was handled, I cannot recommend First Class Parking to anyone.
