Unfortunately, the rating/review options does not allow for a 0 score. The admin to get the car took nearly 45 min at the East London airport. We were 4 people serviced by 2 people. To my surprise after I already paid the car in advance, I still had to pay and amount over R2000 for a fuel deposit. Then also an amount of R16500 in case of an accident/damage that will be used as an access cover. Yes, you pay this before you get the car. On return of the car, I stopped at a filling station 2 km from the airport and filled the tank to the brim. The attendant made sure there we no airlock and even rocked the car in order to make sure the tank was completely filled. The cat was returned, filled tank without any damage of complaints. Inspection was done and the keys handed over to the representative. A few days later I received an invoice and for charged for R125 rand of petrol. That means the car was filled with about 5 Liters of fuel after it was filled to the brim 2 km away from the airport. Then the R16500 deposit/reserve was not released after I checked 5 days after the car was returned. Telephone call was made and we were informed that First Car Rent did instruct the bank to release the money. The next day it is still not done. So please stay away from these ****mers. They will charge you for fuel they clearly did not put into the car and then they will keep the money and draw interest on for an unreasonably long period of time. I can imagine they are making a lot of money with this behaviour. It took another telephone call and a mail was received that an agent will investigate but it will take 2 business days.
