Last Car Rental - Stay away!

I rented a car on George Airport on the 2nd of June 2017 (RA ********** ). My documentation was in the wrong name and has still not being fixed. I had a flat tyre with the car, put on the spare and continued with my journey. I had the flat tyre repaired in Knysna and the wheel refitted to the car and the spare wheel put back in the boot. On returning the car I mentioned to them that there was a flat tyre but it has been repaired. I was asked to complete an accident report which I pointed out that I had no accident with the car. I was told that it is normal procedure when there was an "incident" with the car. I flew back to Lanseria and when switching on my phone again I received an invoice for R1390-00 for "Lost / Damaged Tyre" I queried it immediately and the replies were all shocking. Apparently I had no right to change the tyre and even less right to had it repaired. I was supposed to phone the emergency number and another car would have been brought to me. Now I have violated the terms and conditions of the contract which stipulates that flat tyres must be replaced and not repaired. They are still unable to provide me with these stipulations. Eventually the rental amount as well as the R1390-00 was deducted from mycredit Card as well as an amount of R162,60 which "was used to clear the two invoices that were outstanding. I need to further point out that a new tyre cost R740,00 and that R650,00 was "handling fees". How can this day-light-******* be allowed? The tyre on the car was in very good condition and the repair done was excellent. Technically the old tyre now belongs to me seeing that my money was just taken to replace it. I was told that they are not allowed to keep the old tyre. Somewhere along the line somebody is making big money on selling repaired tyres. I have NEVER came accross such incompetence from both people I dealt with during my query. (Lana Baker and Sarah Lowe) They were probably taught to read answers from a screen infront of them where normal common sense could've told them that they are totally wrong. I was promised copies to proof that my R3000,00 retention was released and that did not happen as well. The money has since not being released. I am taking this matter on with a lawyer who will make sure that this type of practise is exposed for all to know to stay away from First Car Rental. Let them be your LAST choice. It should be ******* for companies to rip the public off like this claiming that I have signed and accepted their terms and conditions. But they still fail to provide me with documents saying that I was not allowed to change the tyre and have it repaired. They now consider the case as closed. I will hoever continue to fight this in court if that is the only way to have justice served.
