Just deducting money from your account without any notice

Probably my own fault but I was in a haste to get the car and go and didn't properly look at the scratches on the car. Once I returned the car the scratch was found. I had to complete a form saying I don't know what happened and that I would get an invoice. I heard nothing and assumed everything was fine. I opened my banking app just to find that they deducted R1186.27 from my account without any correspondence. They just deducted the amount from my account. I had to call them to get clarification and they told me that they did send correspondence and that I was invoiced over R3000 for a scratch as big as a R1. How is that even possible? Without any notice, they just deduct money from your bank account. They had the wrong email address. Don't they check if emails bounce back. Very disasfied with their service.
