First Car Rental - Never Again

Never using First Car Rental again. A car crashed into me in Cape Town and First Car Rental's handling of the incident was breath-takingly appalling. The car (a Renault Kwid) apparently has a really low safety rating and this was made very clear in the accident when my passenger suffered an injured sternum. The Kwid really is the worst car I have ever driven. First Car Rental charged the excess (as expected), but also charged for towing (really!!) and above all, provided terrible service at their airport office. They continued to send reminders about returning the car even though an incident report was already filed at their office. Never using First Car Rental again or driving a Renault Kwid. It turns out that First do not insure their cars - they just limit your liability but claim the right to increase your liability. They also failed to send assistance. Apparently I should have asked the tow truck driver for a lift.
