First Car Rental East London Airport - Prebooked car NOT available?????WHAAAAATTTT????!!!!!

<p>I flew down to East London with a couple of friends, having been on a pre-planned trip, I pre-booked a specific car (a few days before the trip) because we had specific needs. I received a booking confirmation that the car was available. We arrived at the First Car Rental counter at the East London airport to collect the car and the manager(Rakchial Hoodri) was rude and ******. She only assisted white people. We did not receive the car we hired. We were told some excuse and offered a smaller car that could not accommodate us. The lady who was assisting was patient and nice and tried to explain things to us. We almost cancelled the transaction (which had already went through the credit card) because First Car Rental East London Airport did not have the prebooked car, which was confirmed available upon booking. We ended up having to take the suppossedly "upgraded" automatic car- even though we explicitly requested a manual. Having had not ever driven an automatic car before, and all the other rental companies having ran out of fleet, we had to settle for the automatic car( we had no other options as we had a 3 hour drive). For that reason, we wrote and signed a disclaimer that should anything mechanical happen to the car (other than mentioned in the contract), we would not be held liable for the damage. Specifically in relation to damage that could have been caused by lack of experience in driving such a car. The nice lady who was assisting us assisted us in this regard, due to having no other options available because there was no fleet and our prebooked car was unavailable. The next morning she was called into a meeting a reprimanded for having assisted us, and she was threated that should anythng happen to the car, she would be held liable for the costs. Her service was excellent, but the manager(Rakchial Hoodri) was not very helpful and drove off with the car that was offered to us.</p>
