FIRST CAR RENTAL AGENCIES ARE SHARKS

I booked a car online when I booked my plane ticket. I paid the deposit as well as R 1500.00 petrol deposit. The week before I went on holiday I upgraded and paid in an extra amount. I paid with my CAPITEC card which also serves as a Mastercard. I received conformation that the car was booked. When I arrived in CAPE TOWN on the 6th of July they did not want to give me the car as my bank card was a Debit card and not a credit card. I told them that I paid everything which they saw on their systems but still they refused the car as I do not have a credit card. I then asked them for a refund which they said will only be paid within 4 to 5 working days. I needed another car and needed the money to book another car. My husband is disabled and we were stuck. I had to order a UBER to take us to Strand. When I got my refund back on Friday morning the 13 th of July the charged me a cancellation fee. When I asked them why they charged a cancellation fee they send me this reply "Good day

Kindly note that we do not refund prepayments. At some cases we view the reason for cancellation or reason why the customer did not rent the cars. on our screen for bookings, it is clearly stated that we do not take debit cards. For this reason we have app**** a cancellation fee. I have attached the screen short for your ease of reference."

I feel that they need to pay back all my money. They accepted the money online but now have a problem with refunding.

I will never use FIRST CAR RENTAL again. Not even if they are the cheapest car rental company around!!!!!!!
