Check the NCAP safety rating of your car!
Booked group B - advertised with a polo photo “or similar”. Polo has 5 star NCAP safety rating. That’s what we expected. Given a Suzuki Swift - 3 star NCAP rating. Complained and offered a Chery Tiggo (2 star NCAP) or Citroen C3 (shocking zero NCAP rating!)
“Or similar” should mean the same safety rating!! Why would I book a safe car and drive a car rated 0-3 in safety crash tests??
Won’t book with First Car Rental ever again!

12 Jun 2026, 13:47I appreciate that Group B bookings are for a vehicle category rather than a specific model. However, the Group B page prominently displays a Volkswagen Polo, so I booked expecting either a Polo or a vehicle with broadly equivalent safety credentials.
I was allocated a Suzuki Swift, which has a lower NCAP safety rating than the Polo. When I raised my safety concerns, the alternatives offered were a Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Citroën C3, both of which have lower published safety ratings than the Swift.
I would suggest using a vehicle image that better reflects the most commonly supp**** vehicle in the category. Based on the fleet percentages shown on your website, a Suzuki Swift (33% of the fleet) would be a more accurate representation than a Volkswagen Polo (4% of the fleet), helping to align customer expectations with the vehicle they are most likely to receive. Otherwise this could be construed as misleading and false advertising.
