Car hire

Good morning,

I'm very disappointed at the level of service received from First car hire King Shaka International Airport.

First time car hire.

I hired a Renault on the ***

Upon biking I told the lady that my departure flight will be on the above mentioned date at 06:00am she advised me that they start operating at 05:00 am I should not worry.

To my surprise when I got there to check the car in the offices were locked waited till 05:10am it was still closed, I then decided to park the car go check in for my flight giving the keys to my uncle to take the keys to the office and advice that I was there earlier due to the office being closed I then asked him to drop the keys for me.

My uncle then called me to tell me that the guy was requesting R600.00 since the car was only washed outside and not inside, my uncle advised the companies employee that he didn't have R600.00 as I only left him with the car keys and R100.00 for his taxi fare.

The employee threatened my uncle saying he will pay double the R600.00 should the company find out that the car was only clean on the outside.

The employee asked my uncle to give him the R100.00 which I had given to my uncle for his taxi fare, he further went on to say that they are cameras and my uncle should follow him with the car to a place where there is no camera, my uncle obeyed his instruction and the employee then leaned on to take the R100.00 note from my uncle leaving my uncle stranded with no taxi fare.

After my uncle gave me the above information, I then called ***

Spoke to Landi Kuhm who was extremely rude, and was of no assistance she kept telling me I think that’s not true our employee would have never” said that” which drove me insane.

Managed to get the name of the employee that took R100.00 from my uncle it’s Njabulo...please refer to the form

I'm disgusted, disappointed and livid to say the least.

As I'm only used to Europcar.
