I was asked to sign a valet consent form because the car had "cigar smoke smell, dirt and pet hair". This was according to point 4.17 of their Ts and Cs which says "Such valet charge as may be levied for the cleaning of the VEHICLE;"

It should be noted that there were no spills or stains that would require a valet.

It should be noted that the cleaning and vacuuming of a rental is common practice once a vehicle is returned, as is the spraying of a air freshener.

It should be noted that nowhere in the contract or in their Ts and Cs does it prohibit smoking in the vehicle.

The cost for the valet is an ******ionate R750.
