A *******. Poor transparency. So called hidden costs

On 25 November 2022, I hired a car at the Kimberly Airport branch. I paid all necessary fees required. When I arrived at my destination, the car had a flat tyre which I had to change. The rental company did not provide with all the tools to change the tyre. I had to borrow these tools from other people. I returned their vehicle back and made them aware about the tyre incident. A month later the rental company deducts R 1646 81 from my bank account without telephonic notification. I am so disappointed with their action. Is it legal for First car rental to do this? Please advise.
