FIRM LINX - EMALAHLENI : HOPELESS

This company has no system in place. There promises is valid -0. My computer has been handed over for a second time.

Last year 18 December 2019 (back-up and reload), simple process they said!!! Don't believe them. The laptop was with them from 18 December 2019 to 13 January 2020. I had to call them and ask where the laptop is?

This was discussed the day the laptop was handed in. It is not as if I could go and fetch the laptop, as Firm Linx had to sync it with the server. I had to phone them (2020-01-13) (2020-01-14) (2020-01-16)........

Now the laptop went in for the final process in recovering the laptop to at least the state that it was in before 18 December 2019.

Job Card :

SSD Card; Some or other 8gb ram??; Windows 10 Pro to be loaded; AVG security program to be loaded; Please make sure the same fonts is still available (Previous time - that was not done) Classic startup menu to be available; and some few other small things

Laptop was handed in on 2020-03-12 and promised to be done on Monday 2020-03-16. Once again I had to phone and ask where is the laptop.

The excuse was that due to the wrong/to small component being quoted for it is necessary to remove SSD card and replace with my old(current) hard drive.

Tuesday 17 March 2020 I phoned once again asking for the laptop. It took my superior to phone them to get the laptop back. In the meantime it seems that I am not willing or doing enough to get the laptop back so that I could do the urgent work needed.

Yes, and I got the laptop back on 2020-03-17 with the IT consultant leaving the laptop to sync with the server. I asked for my files to be available offline.

Nobody followed up or came back to see if the syncing was successful.

2020-03-18 getting to work is seemed that everything was fine. At least I could work now, so I thought :

Several calls later (2020-03-18) and a lot of conversation later, a visit by two of the IT Technicians, I got home and wanted to start catching up on work.

I have asked to speak to a superior, this second time on one day and believe me, you do not get to speak to someone. Instead I have spoken and dealt with 4 different people on one day to try and resolve a lot of issues.
