PATHETIC SERVICE AT FR HAZELWOOD ON MY BIRTHDAY

On the 13/11/2024 I went to Fireroom Hazelwood to book a table for my birthday lunch for the 16/11/2024. I was showed around by a very friendly waitress. I liked the venue so much, chose a table in the balcony. I wanted to pay deposit unfortunately they dis not take for a mall number bt rather feom 11 people and up. I was not told any terms and conditions that I should note.

On the day of my lunch 16/11/24 I realised that I was running late with my group of friends, table booked for 13h00, I called in at 13h10 that I was running late. Then I was informed in that phonecall that 30 minutes after booking time I will loose my table. I ran left everyone behind so I could be there. Arrived before 14h00. Bad experience of my life, there were 2 hostesses on the entrance and the waiters that showed me around on 13/11/2024 and 1 hostess I made the reservation to. She harassed me as if we have a personal vendetta telling me I have lost my table, therefore I must go elsewhere for my birthday lunch. She claimed that ahe called me that morning and explained the terms and conditions. I told her I did not receive any call from her. She insisted that we spoke and showed me my number. That was indeed my number bt she never called me. When I did the booking nobody told me about the T&C’s…I have never personally booked any table at restaurant in my entire life. So I wouldn’t know this. I only found out when I called in myself at 13h10. I asked if she could please help me find any available table, she spoke to me like I was her puppy that she doesn’t like denying me to have any table bt telling to leave go elsewhere fir my lunch. The waitress stepped in and begged her to let her get me another table. The waitress made suggestions she did not want. At this point I wat five to crying because I felt humiliated and being **** about that we spoke in the morning. Fast forward the waitress eventually managed to cool her down and ahe gave me a table bt we could only stay until 18h00 it belongs to other people from 18h00. I agreed, bt she added that if my people are not there in 20mins she will take that table too. My heart was sinking in pain at that moment. My friends came bt we all felt 18h00 was not enough time. One of my friends went up to a manager by the name Leeroy, he yeld at her. To our misery came another manager I misses his name Nhlanhla or Luthando can’t recall, he arranged a table outside for us to sit and dine as much as we would like. Finally this was resolved, bt I closed the tab earlier than anticipated because through that lunch I was never okay again. The hostess on the entrance that treated me like a piece of **** will forever be the memory when I look at my pictures from that day.
