Disappointed with Fireroom Mall of Africa

The experience at the Fireroom was really poor, which is a shame as we have had some really good dinners there previously. We stopped to have a quick lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. That "quick lunch" escalated into a wait that took forever. Apparently, the waiter that took our orders left in-between service. We had to tell another waiter the order after waiting for an hour. I have two small kids who were famished, with the little one almost in tears. Still, after telling the next waiter about the issue, the wait continued. Eventually we escalated this to the manager. The food took about 15 minutes after that. When it eventually arrived, they forgot a sauce for my wife's meal. We reminded them but nothing arrived. I had to go AGAIN to the waiter to ask for the sauce. Also, they tried to do some fancy theatrics for my meal - turns out they ran out of gas and they had to get another cart. Once that was done, I actually got my meal, part of which was cold by then. The bathrooms were also not very clean. Also, when leaving we wanted to take a photo at the stairs leading to the upper part of the restaurant. I asked a waiter who said he was busy and couldn't help. To be fair, the manager and second waiter were cordial and apologised for the delay, but still it was a very disappointing lunch in a place which we have celebrated a few special occasions previously. They have certainly lost a customer.
