Extremely disappointing

Yo whom this may concern…

We made a booking for 13 April @ 19:00. I called 2 weeks prior if I’m not mistaken to make the booking too. We were taking a colleague out for her birthday and chose your restaurant as it’s made out to be this elite dining experience. I can honestly say I had THE WORST EXPERIENCE and was so embarrassed by the choice we made after the treatment we received. And even worse was that I thought we would have fun celebrating a birthday there.

Firstly when we arrived I was told they are just sanitising the table and will be with us shortly. 25 min later and still NO TABLE. We asked twice why the long wait only to be told they are still busy from the LUNCH run. Please don’t take me for an idiot! Why then request that we book of the table won’t be ready!!!!!!??? We had a group of almost 16 people arrive after us who was immediately taken to their table! We were approached by die manager to say they are extremely busy and that the lunch run took longer than it should. You can’t tell me people sit there for 6 hours after having lunch!? I honestly won’t after the experience we had. Then when we FINALLY got to go in we were shoved into the darkest corner upstairs RIGHT next to the smoking room door. None of is even smoke and we kept having people walking passed bumping the table or pushing the door instead of sliding it.

We also could see that we were of no real importance to our waiter either as he kept rushing us to place orders, rolled his eyes at one of the ladies when she commented that the incorrect sauce was given with her food, kept taking the menus of the table even though we still wanted to look at them, cleared the table while we were eating and really made a point of showing that we are just a frustration. He seemed irritated throughout and utterly rushed and made us feel so unwelcome. Not to mention that we had some celeb at the table next to us and off course the attention was so focused on them and giving them great service!

If I wanted to be treated like this I would have gone to McDonalds. Fire Room is not a restaurant that will see me again, neither will I recommend it to anyone else. Your staff made it clear that our business is of no importance and neither is the service they offer us.
