#Integrity am I right
First, to give some context I bought my bike 4 months ago as of writing this review - It was a beautiful Kawazaki Z400 abs. I decided on this bike as the sales reps said it was a perfect bike to learn on. I was sold on the service plan and the #Integrity that was offered. For the first four months, the bike ran super smooth, I didn't use it for much only used it for commuting to work every day the occasional ride on weekends - never really pushing it too much.
Recently all of a sudden my bike just wouldn't pick up speed as if it couldn't grab any gear. I immediately phoned Performance Technic (Fire It Ups's service centre in Gauteng). They collected my bike the following Tuesday, and the day following that I was called being told that the whole clutch needs to be replaced without explanation, As well as they never bothered to check if I have a warranty or service plan and quoted me roughly 15% of what the bike is worth. After some conversation with them, they agreed to follow up with Fire It Up on my warranty. The following day they contacted me saying that it is wear and tear.
Suspicious of this I contacted Kawasaki myself. The representative told me that this has never happened to a Z400, Which is incorrect just google it, stating that "reviewers thrash the hell out of the bike on the track". This confirmed that it is not "wear and tear". After chatting to the representative it was made clear that the issue was not fully explained toward Kawasaki as well as many of the parts that they quoted me for is warranty replaceable for up to a year. I was told by the representative that he will contact FIre It Up to clarify what the issue was.
As of this review, I have not heard back from Fire It Up or Performance Technic, and do not know whether I will even get my bike back.
