YOU'D BE OUT OF YOUR MIND TO USE FINRITE
If there was a Zero star rating this company deserves it. I bought a phone from telkom in December 2018 and they recommended insurance, finrite being the insurer. They have been faithfully deducting from my account like clockwork. When I lost my phone on July 30, 2019 I called them and they advised of the required documentation to logde a claim and I emailed the reuired documents to them.
I called them to confirm receipt, I spoke to Dylan who confirmed that they had received the email and confirmed the email address that they should use for communication, which is the one I used to send the documents. He advised that they will email a declaration form and details of the excess to be paid with their banking details.
The wait began, a few days later I sent an email asking for the documents and received no response. About two weeks later I sent another email but they didn't respond again. I realized that they weren't going to respond and called them on 19 August 2019.
I spoke to Lethlogonolo who insisted that the email was sent and I don't check my emails! When he read out the email address, they had sent it to my old account and not the one I gave to Dylan and had sent the requested documents with. Over and above that he has the audacity to blame me for their error. He did send the declaration form and banking details.
I signed the declaration, deposited the excess fee, attached the proof of payment, my contact number and delivery address and emailed them on 20 August 2019. I called to confirm receipt and spoke to Lerato who confirmed that they got my mail and said she'll send them through for authorization.
Today 22 August 2019 I called to check on my claim. I spoke to Dylan who informed me that the documents were never sent for authorization and proceeded to confirm my delivery address. He then said he's sending for authorization.
I'm really unhappy with their service. No one should have to pay for such service. It seems their employees need to be reminded what to do with every step of the process. What I don't get is why was I not contacted when they saw that I didn't get the declaration forms? Why is it that I have to call and check the progress of my claim in order for them to process to the next step? We take insurance to ensure that we quickly replace our lost goods but I have been without a phone for 3 weeks.
This is the most frustrating, useless and unprofessional insurance I'd ever dealt with!
Telkom should stop using them!!!
