Horrible Service

I have a cell phone insurance with Telkom , I made a claim for a lost phone on the 28 November , it was approved and I paid excess fee but to date I have not received any feedback from them .

I was called and offered a Huawei Y5 of which I was not happy with, basically they forced this phone down my throat, and they didn’t give a list of options to choose from. if I'm not interested in those options I'm willing to top up the amount to the value of the phone that I am interested in but to date Even that Huawei am still waiting for it 4 weeks down the line have been without a phone for a month and no one at Telkom or Finrite insurance care have been calling Finrite insurance and has been sent from Pillar to post without any Joy . I am very disgusted about the service I received, I spent the whole December without any form of communication , will NEVER ever recommend anyone to take insurance with Telkom. What was mean to be an easy process turned out to be a nightmare? To add salt on the wound they deducted premiums this month for something I don’t have. If I don’t receive my phone by Thursday morning I will go stage a sit in at any Telkom office or outlet

So this is the response I get? I wanted to know what the payout amount is so i can top up to get the device i want. You can't offer one device that I don't want because it's worth my lost handset value. If I don't get the device that I want then make sure you get the exact device I had which is the p8 lite 2017.

I'm really disgruntled with how you handle my claim and now I'll be going to the ombudsman. Just to cut the story short, I was then offered the Huawei Psmart 2019 because I did not want the Huawei Y5. I was told to pay R2000.00 as it is a shortfall amount from what my insurance covered in order for me to get the Psmart 2019, mind you I did that and R2000 is a lot of money and still no one cares to come back to me. I also want my 2months premiums refunded as I was paying for the services I do not have. if I do not get my phone by Thursday Afternoon I will definitely go to the Ombudsman, clearly that is the only language you'll understand
