Finrite using underhanded tactics to avoid settling claim

Attention: Finrite Insurance Administrators,

I have been corresponding with Natasha Carr, one of your complaints administrators, for more than two months now regarding the replacement of my cell phone. She mailed me on Monday 14 November to say that my claim has been declined as the handset was not used since inception. I provided reports sent by Vodacom to show that the device supp**** to me by Finrite was used with my cell phone number from the time that I received the device from Finrite until the time I reported it was reported it lost. Natasha then sent another mail on Saturday 3 December to say that my claim will remain declined as the insured number was not once used with the device. I have subsequently sent Finrite official documentation from Vodacom which proves that the insured number, which is the same number that I have been using since I started insuring with Finrite a few years ago, was used with the device that was provided by Finrite. The reports clearly list the cell phone number used, the IMEI numbers of the device as well as the dates that the device was used.

The Vodacom representatives have indicated on numerous occasions when I have been in contact with them that Finrite has access to this information and should be aware that the insured number was used with the device during the entire period.

I have given Finrite ample time to investigate and correct their findings. I find it unacceptable that Finrite will continue to drag this claim out for over more than two months when you have been provided all the information required to overturn and correct this decision.

Please confirm how you can continue to state that the insured number was not once used with the device when the reports that Vodacom has provided show the number that I have used ever since I joined Finrite was used with the IMEI numbers for the phone that was provided by Finrite?

Kindly confirm when you will replace the device because the statement that you are continually repeating is incorrect!

Sincerely,

James Arbuthnot
