Finrite Telkom Insurance
I put in a claim for a P30 lite on 23 March 2020 by phone and received *** and on the same day I emailed the required documentation. I received no acknowledgement. Lockdown came on 26 March 2020 so understandably people were not working. On 9 June 2020 I sent another e.mail informing finrite of my original e.mail and that I had not received any response from them either as an acknowledgement of receipt or whether the claim was accepted and what the excess payment would be. On the 12th of June I called Finrite 3 times each time the call lasted approx 20min with no one answering on the 4th call after 12min the call was answered. I did not write down the agents number but during the conversation it came to light that the IEMI no on record was incorrect and I was asked to resend the IEMI no which I did on 15 June 2020 with the email trail of the original e.mail containing the IEMI no. I received no acknowledgement of receipt so I sent the e.mail again on 17 June 2020 from my private e.mail and again I received no acknowledgement of receipt of the email and no other communication. In the week of 6-10 July 2020 I made a number of calls each time I got the run around about the IEMI no that they were trying to get sorted. I eventually spoke to Olwethu and she advised me to pay the excess of R1629.90 which I did and sent proof of payment through on e.mail on 23 July 2020 and I added the delivery address on the e.mail as well as my contact details. I again received no acknowledgement of receipt of e.mail. I called finrite on numerous occasions and each time was told the phone will be delivered within 7 working days. On 18 August 2020 I spoke to a Sannetjie who informed me that they received an e.mail from their provider that they did not have a P30 Lite in stock and they gave a choice of 4 phones they could provide, this information was never relayed to me and when I questioned this I was informed that the agents are not allowed to call, return e.mails or e.mail clients. I informed Sannetjie that I do not accept the alternatives and that I want a P30 lite. I have called on the following dates 11, 14, 29 and 30 September and I keep getting they same response the phone is on the way and when I request to speak to a Supervisor I get the run around of they are on a call, just stepped out for lunch or some other excuse. It is now over 6 months and still I have not received the phone.
I have a second P30 Lite for which I submitted a claim on and again the IEMI number for this one is also incorrect and again on 14 September 2020 I sent the e.mail trail of when I sent the correct IEMI number and again I received not acknowledgement of receipt. I have made numerous call for this claim as well and again I just get the run around but no results and still I am denied my request of speaking to a supervisor.
I am disgusted and furious by the lack of service delivery and communication from Finrite. I would not recommend anyone to take out a Telkom Insurance with them rather use someone else.
The second part of my complaint has not been attended to. The second phone I have been trying to claim for, and I quote:

I phoned on 2020-10-12 @ 15H30 and spoke to Olwethu about the claim and again was informed the IEMI is incorrect. Olwethu sent an e-mail (again) requesting a replacement letter to correct the IEMI number and I was informed it would take 24hrs. I phone on 2020-10-14 @ 11h18 and spoke to Nthombi and I explained to her that I needed to submit a claim and what the problem was with the IEMI number. Nthombi informed me that the number was still incorrect and that she would send an e-mail requesting a replacements letter and that she would phone me the next day to follow up, and again I was informed that it would be corrected in 24hrs. I received no call or e.mail. On 2020-10-16 @ 15h30 I called again and this time spoke to Mikatheko only to find that still the problem has not been resolved and again she promised to send an e-mail requesting a replacement letter.
I still do not hold out much hope of any quick resolution to this issue because it seems no-one knows exactly what they are doing. What really annoys me is that every time I call I get someone new and I have to repeat myself all over again and listen to the same empty promises, and every time when I call back nothing is done. I don't know how you operate when to the customer it appears there is no teamwork or cohesion between the staff at the call center. It also does not help to ask to speak to the person you spoke to before because they are always busy. (which is understandable to a degree as it is a call center)
