1 YEAR GONE INSURANCE CLAIM IS STILL PENDING

WROTE A LETTER TO THE MANAGER I STILL AWAIT HER RESPONSE. WHO IS GOING TO HELP. MY ACC OUNT THEY STILL DEBIT FOR MY INSURANCE CONTRIBUTION YET I GET ZERO HELP/SERVICE WHAT SO EVER!!!!

On Monday, 18 April 2016, 17:51, Innocent Mufiri <***> wrote:

Dear Samantha,

I trust you are well and that you will do your utmost best to help me. I have been sent from pillar to post with your consultants in connection to a HUAWEI Y600 that was ****** last year .

Now please note the following;

Passport Number for Account Holder : CN645475 (JET Account Holder)
Name: Innocent
Surname: Mufiri

I insured this phone at the time of purchase. And this phone was being used by my wife Thandi. Now the phone number in use was ***. The sim was purchased from a cell c promoter on the streets. At the time the phone was ****** from my wife she called the service provider and she requested for the number to be blocked together with the blacklisting of the phone.

Since she did not have any boxes of the phone in her possession to check the IMEI number she asked the consultant from cell c to check it for her and she answered some security questions before receiving the IMEI from the cell c consultant that she would later on use to write on the Police Affidavit. She incorrectly gave my wife the wrong IMEI number that was for her old HUAWEI Y220. This she fsound out from an Edgars sales consultant during the time of submitting her Affidavit. She had to go back and re do a new affidavit together with the new correct IMEI number.

Now it is at this time that all thingsspiraled out of control. She found out that the new IMEI number had not been blocked so she had to call the service provider once again to get the correct ITC number that would correspond with the new IMEI number registered together with the HUAWEI Y600. Unfortunately due to the RICA laws she could not get any assistance in blocking the phone together with the sim due to the fact that the sim was registered under someone else since she had purchased it from the road.

We tried in vain to get this resolved but to no avail. Two of your consultants namely Lerato and Samicky Mthombeni gave us different statements to try help but none of it helped. Problem everytime the Edgars sales lady contacts your offices she gets told different stories.

Now I would like to get my phone soonest since you are deducting my account with this cellphone insurance every month. What for? I do not know since this has been a long term wait. We can not conclude this since cell c wont help me with anything its like going to the bank with your ID and requesting or someone elses bank statement. It is just not possible.

I would like us to conclude this matter before I appeal to Helopeter and the Consumer Act or Ombursdment for help.

As a manager I will await your urgent response to this matter. I would like you to call my wife the end user of phone that is insured in question for the full details of the story since I am now being told she should make yet another affidavit for something that happened a year ago. She is pregnant and at high risk so she is restricted to bed rest so ups and downs are not up for discussion we need the claim to be processed and approved at the then price of R1999.99 that it was as opposed to what it is selling for.

Please can this matter be treated as if it was you in my shoes.

Many thanks,

Innocent Mufiri
