Dishonesy & imcompetency: Fine Home Legacy Sales

If I could rate this company as ZERO I would.

I had the displeasure of working with Fine Home Legacy Sales to urgently sell my house. The agent, Frikkie Khun, came through with this amazing sales pitch of how the MLS group has 90 agents who can sell on my behalf and that they would all advertise on Private Property, Property 24 etc.

I explained that I could not manage with payments on my house from end September onward and I also emphatically said I just want to settle the value at the bank. His commission was going to be R80k for all his "hard" work.

For the past 3 weeks since signing the contract, about 4 people came through to view, and this from the other agents in the group -none by him. The for sale sign outside my home had an incorrect number so nobody could contact him, not even the MLS agents. He specified a selling price to me, yet advertised it for R90 000 MORE than what we discussed - essentially pricing my property out of the market from day 1. Every time I checked the websites I could not find the property listed as the search criteria catered to my selling price, not this overinflated listed price. He promised to bring buyers, and in the morning of the viewing, he would cancel.

About 1 month has gone and I am not even close to selling this property due to incompetence, dishonesty, a complete lack of professionalism and downright dirty tactics from the real estate agent and its Principal, Juan.

I now have to sell in about 1 week so I can move out or risk not being able to pay the bond.

Surely there are legal implications to this as my consumer rights have been violated. A word of advice from my perspective. Stay away from Frikkie Khun and "Fine" Home Legacy Sales, stick with the tried and trusted agents for peace of mind.
