Disappointed by "generic" fragrances

I was so excited to receive my three 30 ml bottles of Hugo, Issey Miyake and Eros because I believed that they would smell just like the originals. I was wrong. They are supposedly reverse engineered so that the formula can be perfectly recreated. I fell for the advertising and hype and paid the price for it (R180 to be exact). The fragrances smell nothing like the real thing and are absolutely unrecognisable. They come in very cheap, minute bottles and are filled with fragrances that you can smell cost no more than R20 to make. I would never wear it and would be too embarassed to give it to someone else for free. I would not recommend these fragrances because they are most certainly not the generic version of the original. I really had high hopes for these fragrances and am feeling very disappointed. But as they say: You get what you pay for.
