Fine Floorz…. Ai, where do I begin.. ****mers and dishonest contractors, installers, tradesman ect are just a part of our everyday lives now. We don’t know who to trust anymore.. I decided to trust a flooring company backed by wealthy investors such as Nico Stols. I paid R36k upfront to secure an installation date as this was critical with the weather we were having and I had to take all my belongings outside. On the day of installation Gareth ignored my phone calls and the sales rep had to inform me that Gareth used my money on another project and didn’t pay his sub contractors. The rep phoned Tim, the subcontractor, and I grabbed the phone and told Tim I will pay him directly and buy all materials he required just to come and do the installation. All my furniture was outside and Gareth still had some of my flooring that he ‘borrowed’ after invoicing me for them. Tim came the same day and installed my floors without asking me for any moneys to be paid ‘upfront’ He even got the rest of my flooring back! I contacted Fine Floorz and was told by Nico that Gareth does not have my money anymore and that he told Gareth to rather close his business and start a new company with a different name. Fine Floorz quoted R36k to do the installation and Tim done it for only R8K!! And they subcontract for Fine Floorz. I gave Gareth Birley, the owner of Fine Floorz almost two months to make things right. Nico blocked my calls and Gareth said he will pay back the R8k I paid Tim once he receives money from someone else. This after a month of emails between us and Lawyers… I do not want someone else to pay for Fine Floorz mistakes! With this post I just want to promote Tim from MUC FLOORING. They done an outstanding job and Tim, you are one professional individual! Gareth Birley and Nico Stols, you can keep my money now, I am done fighting…
