Unprofessional and failure to perform duties

I found a place to rent through F&C. The previous tenants moved out on the same day that I moved in. they left the place in a state but because I urgently needed a place to stay I accepted the responsibility to clean and fix it up. 3 years later I let the agency know I wont be renewing the contract. no one was there on my last day to inspect & collect the keys. I phoned them to ask when were they collecting keys only to discover there was no inspection done when I moved in & therefore no inspection to compare to. they are now relying on the owner to remember how the place was before I moved in. The owner is making demands & wants to bring his contractors to inspect the place and until then they are holding my deposit. this is 10 days after I moved out & I'm waiting to hear from the owner. This is an agency that is trusted to be professional and service their clients as they promise and now I'm inconvenienced and I have not even got an apology for such poor execution of responsibilities and no accountability at all for their incompetence. If you are looking to rent or rent out your place stay away from Fine & Country. They are happy to take your management fee but do not manage it
