Fine Country Properties refuses to PAYOUT to tenants their Deposits

I was renting an apartment with Fine Country Properties for the past 18 months. I informed the rental agent about my intentions of moving out on the 6th May 2019 (which was 20 business days before expiration date) and reminding them that my lease is expiring month end 31st May 2019. After failure as Landlord/Agent, as it is the Agent's duty to notify the tenant(me) that the lease is expiring at least 40 days before the lease expires. When tenant receives notification, then tenant has to give his intentions with 20 business day whether they are moving out or extending the lease and in my case vacating the premises.

They are now sending me an email that I will not receive my deposit back because I did not give them enough time for them to secure another tenant for the apartment. I notified them 20 business days before my lease ended and they did the inspection they apartment was in the same condition I found 18 months ago. I never gave them any trouble, paid my rental on time, I do not owe them anything but now they refuse to pay my deposit back saying that I am liable for a June rental. How can I pay rental for an apartment that I do not even stay in and after my lease expired.

My lease expired with FC Properties, I left the premises before the 1st of June 2019, I gave notice 20 business day before the lease expired but I am told I they are not paying back my deposit which by the way according to the law of contract should have accumulated interest in the 18 months.

Fine Country Properties is not a trust worth real estate agent. They have no problem in taking your money when you contract with them but when it comes to payout they come with silly excuses after they breach their own contract (lease). I would not advise anyone to rent any of their properties, ******!!!
