Do NOT use Fine and Country to rent your house out! They are *****s.

<p>We used Fine and Country in Randburg to rent out our house in Cosmo City, the tenants they found trashed our house and caused R21 000 worth of damage. Broken doors, windows, cupboards, burnt carpets, they even stole the DSTV decoder, and the electricity box!</p> <p>The agent said they had contractors who could fix the damages, and would I like to use the deposit of R5 800 to fix some of the damage. As the house was unsafe as their was a window broken, so we needed to make it secure, as people had started sleeping in it. </p> <p>I agreed, and then the contractor, never arrived, after repeatedly promising to come and eventually we said we would fix it ourselves.</p> <p>Fine and Country paid the entire amount of R5800 to the contractor who had never put a foot in the house and now we cannot get the money back from the contractor.</p> <p>I now have to sue the contractor as Fine and Country say they have done all they can. Surely they pay the deposit back to me?</p> <p>Who pays 100% of the money, before the work is even done?</p> <p>Surely they have a relationship with this contractor, if they did not why would they have paid the full amount, no one does that.</p> <p>They are not an honest business, and I will never do business with them again, and warn you all before you work with them. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
