Refusing to Grant Settlement Discount

Due to financial circumstances over the past 6 months, I haven't been able to pay my 3 Finchoice accounts since January. I contacted Finchoice last week, requesting a settlement discount so that I canrequest a family member to settle them. I offered R50'000 as a full and final payment to settle all 3 products and have the accounts closed. I was told that they do not offer discounts. They suggested that I settle the accounts at the normal balances and the ones that I can't settle, I must just pay the normal monthly installment.

Are you kidding me? Firstly, I cannot afford your monthly installments - that is why you haven't received payment from me. Secondly, You haven't received a payment from me in 5 months, and I've advised you that I have a family member who is prepared to pay R50'000 in full and final payment, and you decline that offer? Clearly you are not desperate enough to receive your money.

Failure to provide me with a settlement discount will result in me paying the bare minimum and even considering debt review as a last resort. Then it will take you 5 years to get payment.

Finchoice loves giving a lot of credit and helping customers to become over indebted. It's a trap. I will not fall for these tactics again.
