Paid-Up Account Now Disputed After 3 Years – Unacceptable

I am extremely frustrated with the way my account with FinChoice is being handled.

I settled this account in full and was issued with a paid-up letter confirming that the account was closed. I personally monitored the account while payments were being debited, so I am certain that everything was paid correctly.

Now, approximately three years later, I am being told that the account is supposedly not paid up and, even more concerning, that the paid-up letter I was given is “not valid” or “does not meet their standards.”

This is completely unacceptable.

In November 2024, I was contacted again about this account. I provided the same paid-up letter, and I was told the matter would be resolved and the account closed. To my understanding, these calls are recorded.

Additionally, earlier this year I contacted MBD to check if I had any outstanding accounts, and I was informed that there were none under my name.

So how is it possible that this issue is being raised again?

As a customer, I acted in good faith, settled the account, and received official confirmation that it was paid. It is not my responsibility if internal documentation or processes on their side are now being questioned.

I feel offended and unfairly treated by being told that a document issued to me is not acceptable.

I would like the following resolved urgently:

* Written confirmation that my account is fully paid and closed * Correction of any incorrect records linked to my name * Assurance that I will not be contacted again regarding this matter

This situation is stressful, unnecessary, and reflects very poorly on how customer accounts are managed.
