Identity Theft and ***** Related Activities

Good Day,

So this is a story all about how, FINCHOICE decided to let myself down. They opened up an account using some of my details, especially my Savings account details and decided to give someone else a loan of R10,000 (I checked the amount, because this is appears on my credit score with Transunion).

Fortunately for me, my savings account is not an active account and I just top it up to cover the bank charges.

Anyways, I was perusing my savings account transactions and saw that Finchoice was trying debit my account since the end of last year/beginning of this year. So I called them up (found them online). They can confirm that I have an account with them, but surprise surprise, I can't access the account because some of the personal details I provided don't match the details they have on their system.

I have contacted their call centers multiples times reporting this incident, they say that their ***** team will get in touch within 3 days. They don't. I have however, gotten a call from their debt collection company twice now. Don't worry though, I just reference that this incident is in an ongoing investigation with the police and put the phone down on their debt collectors. I am not letting FINCHOICE waste more time of mine. (What? do you think I wouldn't report this to the police for a loan being taken out, using my details, so that it could be paid to someone else... I don't think so).

Don't worry, FINCHOICE have all the reference numbers since I have sent it, TWICE, to their online email address.

They still don't like replying though... Terrible Service, I know.

This has to go public now, I need to make people aware of this ***** and Identity Theft.

Kind Regards, James Wicks
