How long does it take to do a confirmation of employment?

App**** for a loan on the 11th April, sent all required documentation - documentation sent almost immediately. Followed up on Friday 13th April and was told my loan has been approved pending confirmation of employment.

Followed up again this morning and I am told I have to resend my bank statement again. Can someone follow up for me and let me know what exactly is going on?
