Highly frustrated

Finchoice debited my account a day before my salary date for both April and May 2024. The debit order date is the 28th but they debited my account on the 24th. I am now R450 in the red due to bank penalty fees for the failed debit orders and they refuse to accept responsibility. The consultants are not trained well enough to interpret their own terms and conditions. The consultants all say that they do tracking 3/4 days before the payment date and that the account only gets debited once funds are available. Clearly this is not the case since they have debited my account in both instances before my salary date.

I encourage others to also lodge a complaint with the NCR so that they can deal with this level of incompetence and unprofessionalism once and for all. I wish I saw the reviews first before doing business with Finchoice.

Good day,

I’m unsure of what you need to investigate. Yesterday, a consultant named Reyhana advised me that Finchoice will not be refunding me. She was more focussed on moving the debit order date to the 31st in order to avoid the same problem from occuring in future but she has made it very clear that there is nothing that Finchoice can do about the bank penalty fees. She futhermore suggested that the problem is on the side of Absa because Finchoice does not have record of debit order which did not go through on the 24th of April and May respectively. The gall of the consultant to suggest this when the bank statements clearly proves otherwise, is beyond me.
