FinChoice Misleading Loan Activation Invitation & Unjust Decline – Unacceptable Service ID:***
Complaint: FinChoice invited me to “ACTIVATE” an increased loan limit from R2 500.00 to R6 530.00, only to decline the application immediately afterward. This is misleading, unprofessional, and raises serious concerns about FinChoice’s internal processes and transparency.
I obtained my full Experian credit profile, which I confirmed with Experian directly. All accounts are in good standing with no arrears, including:
Lendlpus (up to date)
Capitec long-term loan (settled in full on 25.10.2025)
Capitec Credit Card (R457 instalment, no arrears)
FinChoice Mobi Loans (x2, both consistently paid)
Despite this, FinChoice issued a promotional invitation encouraging me to activate a higher limit—yet inexplicably declined me after I app****. This is contradictory and unfair, especially considering my flawless payment history.
Consumers should not be misled with pre-qualification or “activation” offers if FinChoice does not intend to honour them.
I request:
A full explanation for the misleading offer.
The basis on which the decline decision was made.
Immediate escalation to senior management and the credit review department.
Fin Choice's conduct has caused inconvenience and frustration and does not reflect the standard expected from a reputable financial provider.
