Extremely Frustrating & Unfair – Just Trying to Settle My Account
I am writing this review out of complete frustration with both Finchoice and NRB Risk Solutions. I am genuinely trying to settle and close my debt so that I can clear my credit profile, yet both companies keep sending me from pillar to post with no real assistance. My original balance with Finchoice was just over R6,000, and I was paying monthly installments. Somehow, after being handed over to NRB, the amount has now jumped to R8,341.62. How is this possible? How does a debt increase by over R2,000 when I was making payments? No one can explain this. I asked NRB for a 40% discount so I could settle and close this matter. This was a reasonable request given my financial difficulties (which I also explained). They refused and only offered 20%—yet even with that so-called discount, I still end up paying almost the same amount as the original balance of R6,000, which defeats the whole purpose of asking for assistance. To make matters worse, the agent assisting me, Melany Waghner, was not helpful at all. Instead of providing support, she referred me back to Finchoice. When I called Finchoice, they told me they cannot assist because the account is handed over. I am being bounced back and forth with zero resolution. All I want is to settle this debt fairly, close the account, and clear my credit profile. Instead, I am stuck in a loop with no accountability from either Finchoice or NRB. How am I supposed to close this debt if neither company is willing to help or even explain how the amount increased so drastically? I am requesting urgent assistance from someone who actually has the authority to resolve this matter and help me settle at a fair and reasonable amount.
