Unpaid for work completed in January 2026 – still waiting 7 months late

My experience with FinBiz Advisory has been extremely disappointing.

I completed work for FinBiz Advisory in January 2026. Despite completing the agreed work, as at August 2026 I have still not been paid.

Over the past seven months, I have followed up repeatedly and received numerous explanations and promises. At different stages, I was told that payment depended on a SARS refund and that FinBiz was experiencing financial difficulties. I was repeatedly told that payment would be made “tomorrow”, “next week”, or that a payment plan would be arranged. None of these assurances resulted in payment.

At one point, I was also expected to follow up directly with FinBiz’s client regarding money allegedly owed to FinBiz.My agreement was with FinBiz, not its client, and I do not believe a contractor should have to collect a company’s debt from its client in order to be paid for work already completed.

I eventually issued a formal letter of demand and continued giving FinBiz opportunities to resolve the matter. The amount owed remains outstanding.

I am posting this review after months of attempting to resolve the matter privately. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend FinBiz Advisory to professionals or contractors who expect reliable communication and timely payment for completed work.
