Financial Debt Advisors provides misleading information
Please tell me what kind of a **** this company is busy with when most of south africans are already struggling with their monthly payments. I have received a call from a Nicole, being one of the consultants. She advised that this company works together with the government to reduce your loan installments etc. And that they will help you pay a lower rate. It sounded too good to be true and I gave her some details and she advised that someone will contact me regarding my application. Little to my knowledge did she not inform me that this has anything to do with debt review. To confirm this application you get messages from a whatsapp number and then you have to send a copy of your ID. The following day I tried calling the land line number that she provided my brother only to find that there is no answer. I have requested on the whatsapp number for a cancellation and whoever the person is advised me that they will get someone from the cancellations department to call me. When they called the guy sounded very sketchy and when I asked why they took so long to get back, why their numbers don't answer he just advised that they are very busy. He advised that this has now been cancelled. We'll I was advised on day 1 that I can cancel within 7 days. I cancelled on day 2 with immediate effect when I learned that this is debt review and not some company working with the government to help people in South Africa. They failed to inform me. They provided me with misleading information about this. So many young people falling under this trap and this is no joke. How can they not inform people of the consequences of being under debt review and how this affects your credit long term. I have received another call after several days being under the impression that they are attending my cancellation, only to be informed that no notes were left on their system of me cancelling and that no one responded to the ********** email that I emailed to. All of a sudden I got a response saying that the person who dealt with the cancellations resigned and they will appoint someone in the week and then get them to contact me. Up until today I have never gotten any feedback regarding this matter and I don't take any of this lightly. I mean my credit has been affected. I have been requesting a seniors details but also no response. No answer on the contact number whenever I call. There is also a Johannesburg number, also no answer. I mean I worked in a contact centre, and there was always answer. They were quick to do the referral but failed to keep contact with me and follow up on several correspondence from my side. My credit has already been affected and I will not be paying anything because of your failed communication and misleading information you have given me. This sounds more like a **** then anything else. The following email address was provided and I have emailed and the person advised that someone will contact me, ********** Also nothing yet. ********** is their land line and no answer. Call ********** 223 NOW if you did not apply. If not helped call NCR on ********** 700, but when you contact there's no answer. Please advise where I can complain about this? It's been 3 weeks and as I've mentioned before, my credit has already been affected.
