pls advise what to do.

I recently received a call from an agent from debt clear, he stated that he was from Finance Debt Clear (FDC). he had a list of all my creditors, and he explained how they are able to reduce my monthly installments and interest rates from my respective creditors. I than asked about the fees and he stated that there are no fees due from my side.

I than agreed to the opportunity to have my interest rate and instalments reduced. I later discovered that I could not use my Creditcard. I called them and I was than informed that it is a debt review thus the creditcard would not work until the balances were settled. I than discovered later that R8000,00 was allocated to fees from FDC.

The fee charge was never communicated to me, I only came across it when I requested a statement to see if my creditors were paid.
