Finance Debt Clear is not to be trusted

I just got a call from Debt Clear, They said they work for the government to reduce the high interest rates citizens are paying, they had my details and said they wanted to confirm the last 5 digits of ID number because of the POPI act. As soon as they confirmed, I got an sms that said I gave consent to request my credit report on 2025-05-19. Reason: Affordability Assessment. Finance Deb Clear 2.

I never gave consent, these people should be investigated.

As soon as someone on the phone tells you they need to confirm your ID number because of the POPI act, it's these people, don't trust them.
