Company doesn't pay back my deposit

I hired a compactor in mid-April for one day and still have not received the refund of my deposit as of 23 May. The branch manager of the Benoni branch keeps saying he'll follow up with Head Office and get back to me. Needless to say, he has never once contacted me and given feedback proactively. It is always me who has to initiate contact, despite their indebtedness to me. I don't recommend that you use this company at all.
