******** Unprovoked Assault on Student!

<p>My name is Matsedi Monyeki on the 2nd of September 2016 I was ********ly physically assaulted with a deadly weapon by a Fidelity security guard cash carrier. I was wearing shorts with open toed shoes and my hands were not in my pockets to conceal anything. I was avoiding oncoming cars to walk on the pavement at the Engen on Bram Fischer at which I am regular at and upon acknowledging your employee I apologise and as I was kindly explaining he attacks me. Is that how your guards are trained?</p> <p> </p> <p>Is South Africa in the middle a civil war because that's the only time I would've expected to be attacked with a RIFLE in a SUBURB. The police don't even patrol my streets with rifles. </p> <p> </p> <p>There was damage to my sternum and soft tissue damage to the surrounding surface area. I needed an injection for the pain. I had to take multiple pills just to sleep because I was in shock that I was attacked with a gun for no reason at all in a secure neighbourhood for no reason at all. He attacked me without saying a word to me. His fellow guards didn't even open the rear door after he attacked me. As if the sight of me was just enough for him to viciously attack. What if your child was walking to a Garage in your safe suburban neighbourhood and is attacked with a GUN for no reason whatsoever. No reason whatsoever.</p> <p> </p> <p>For all we know Fidelity hires individuals from war-torn African countries and they come here filled with hatred and envy from what they have seen and now that they have guns they think they have all the power to unleash what was done upon them! Your company is putting guns in the hands of these men and all for cheap labour! This is South Africa where guns aren't available for purchase at any wholesale outlet! Does your private security company walk around with your high grade weaponry to terrorise civilians?!</p> <p>Does your company give guns to anyone whose just anyone without a mental health background check?! Are they not trained to use their voices?!</p> <p> </p> <p>In the video he allowed a Caucasian female to get to closer proximity than I did and even made way for her, as small as it was to let her walk pass his front-side. He made way for her cause she was Caucasian?! He even instructed the "Coloured" man that he was busy but not a word was said to me only unprecedented violence! Now Fidelity train it's staff with racial profiling? I study with Cambridge and have no association with the current student protests but for a student being attacked by an armed Fidelity Security guard in uniform at a local filling station unprovoked? The visual of a security guard viciously attacking an unarmed/ non-threatening student with a gun for no reason at a filling station as if I pelted him with stone?! I support the student protests as it's a promise made by the ruling party which they have not fulfilled just to have private security companies attacking students in their communities?</p> <p> </p> <p>I withheld this footage for 2 months! Fidelity is celebrating 59 Years of Excellence along with the claims their company is "100% Proudly South African" and yet it was a foreigner who attacked this citizen ********ly and unprovoked.
