Unfair Workplace Treatment
Fidelity employed me as teller in die cash solutions department. When I stated working I was moved to be a packer without amending contract. Signed contract stated working hours Mon-Fri 07:30 - 16:30 which never happened.
While working as a packer I injured my heap and asked management for assistance which they denied. I than went to consult at clinic and was informed I strained my heap. Management told me since I’m absent it’s to late to return as an employee. I enquired whether I should return to work and was ignored by management.
The Employee Relations Manager only contacted me after two weeks stating I should return to work and all my issues will be resolved. When I returned he turned against me and said he’s booking me for a hearing. He than forced me to sign hearing documents, which I refused.
I am deeply hurt and disappointed that the biggest security company in Africa ill-treat their employees in such manner.
They never gave me a copy of my contract. I never did work as per contract in terms of job description and hours. I never received proper job training. Employee Relations Manager manipulated me to return to work only to serve me with hearing documents.
