Unfair **************

I visited Edgars in Carnival Mall in Brakpan on the 27th November 2021. I paid at the cashiers at 11h14 as per my receipt. As I approached the exit, a security member who I identified as Mr Wiseman Zwane searched me but not others. He refused on several occasions to sanitize his hands before touching my items, before eventually complying. This individual had quite a bad attitude and told me that he can only explain himself to me in his own language. I noticed that I was stopped to be searched while many people were allowed to exit. He told me that they only search people that had Edgars carrier bags. This means that in his reasoning that only people with Edgars carrier bags could be capable of shop lifting, while other people without Edgars carrier bags are incapable. There are no signs at the entrance or exit which states who will be searched. I feel that this was done because of the colour of my skin as I am a Coloured gentleman.

I feel like approaching the Human Right Commission.
