Theft via debit order from my bank account
Theft via debit order from my account by Fidelity-ADT.
I'm a pensioner who battles to make ends meet, so yes I count every cent very carefully. I've been a loyal customer for over 30 years and this is blatant theft out of my account. Just because I gave permission for a debit order to go off my account, does not mean they can do what they want with my account and my money.
On principle I'm fighting this issue, who gives Fidelity ADT the right to just take money from customers accounts without permission.
In June/July 2023 I received an sms advising me about Fidelity ADT SecureFire that was on offer to their customers for a monthly fee of R35. (Reply YES to opt in)
I did NOT reply to "OPT IN".
End of July I saw an increase in my monthly premiums. (Having forgotten about the sms regarding the SecureFire) I then emailed the ADT credit controller handling my account "Isaac Nkadimeng" enquiring what the increase was on the 7th August 2023. Isaac advised that it was for the SecureFire, to which I rep**** "I did not agree to it" "I never opted IN"
He then advised that he was no longer in that division and forwarded my email to the new credit controller "Kelvin Ntuli" with instruction to credit the R35.00
Kelvin Ntuli did not refund the R35.00, instead he did a write-off of the R35.00
I tried in vein during the next weeks/months to get my R35.00 back.
I have emailed Mr Dirk Koekemoer (Senior Credit Controller Supervisor) who advised that both Isaac and Kelvin had left Fidelity ADT and that the new credit controller was Marlise.
I have called and emailed until I'm blue in the face and on the 21st December 2023 I spoke to the Call centre supervisor "Bathani", who was very helpful and that's where the issue seems to have stopped once again.
I have even begged to speak to Mr Wahl Bartmann, even threatened to call him.
All these people do is hide behind the call centre operators. That's as far as this issue keeps going.
