Terrible Service, Unauthorised Debits, and Unresolved Issues - A Warning to Potential Customers
I am sharing my extremely negative experience with Fidelity ADT in the hope that others can avoid the frustration and financial problems I’ve faced. My ordeal includes a series of service failures, breaches of contract, and unauthorised debit orders, all of which were met with poor customer service. They then referred me to their lawyers who themselves believe my claims are reasonable and their actions unjustifiable and keep informing them of this but they keep insisting on referring me to new lawyers. In a recent interaction with THEIR lawyers, they referred me to Hello Peter to explain that my experience is not unique as they expressed their own frustration with Fidelity's services.
I initially contracted Fidelity ADT for security services, but the services provided were subpar and compromised my safety. Despite multiple communications to address these issues, they remained unresolved and every promise they made was unfulfilled. Their response times to emergencies was generally over 30 minutes and often over 40 minutes. Their installers did not have the skills to install my system and made errors - then when their technical department could not fix their own instalation, they then tried to charge me for false alarms. As a result, I had no choice but to cancel my contract. Fidelity was not providing the service they were contracted to provide.
Even though Fidelity ADT breached our agreement, they insisted on enforcing a 30-day notice period and continued to debit my account. My attorney sent a formal letter on 20 March 2024, demanding that they cease all further deductions as they were in violation of the agreement. The letter also revoked consent for any additional debit orders, stating that future attempts would breach the banking code of conduct.
Despite this, Fidelity ADT ignored the notice and continued attempting to collect funds, claiming an outstanding balance due to early termination fees and failed debit orders. I have sent the requested documentation multiple times, including emails and WhatsApp messages, yet they keep asking for the same information, and their lawyers keep sending me threatening letters. This constant back-and-forth feels like harassment and shows a total lack of care for their customers. Actually it is complely *********.
Fidelity ADT's actions violate the Consumer Protection Act and the National Payment System Act. Their persistence in trying to collect funds post-cancellation raises concerns of potential *****. I am seeking a full refund for the fees paid for inadequate services.
Key Issues: - Nonservice Delivery: Repeated missed deadlines for delivery, incorrect installation, unfulfilled promises, completely inadequate response times, and substandard services. - Breach of Contract: Inadequate services provided. Unauthorised Debits: Attempts to collect fees despite contract cancellation and revoked debit authority. - Poor Communication: Repeated requests for already provided documentation. - Lack of Resolution: Failure to take appropriate action after numerous attempts to resolve the issues. - Potentially *****ulent Activity: Continuing fund collection despite cancellation and revocation of debit orders.
I hope this review serves as a warning to others and encourages
I seriously doubt - looking though all the complaints about them that Fidelity ADT wil reconsider their customer service approach or act ethically so I warn you to rather stay far away from them.
