Securities at bel air mall

It is with great sadness that I type this in fact if I could find an email address on your website I would have never posted this on your wall. I was victimized by the security at the mall on Tuesday morning (28/03/2017)

I arrived at the mall around 5:07am – 05:10am that morning for my usual bootcamp class at virgin active and I parked on the upper level parking closest to the gym. I parked in the parking space that is reserved for women with children. Yes that’s where I parked. And guess what I was fined. R250.00. But strange enough I was parked next to a silver grey Mercedes and that car was not clamped. I have parked in that spot for the last like 3 years but I park there intentionally because I know that club-v for children at virgin active opens at 07:00am and that there are no shops open at 5am. Moreover, there are no women that come to gym with babies at the time. I tried to explain this to the security on duty who told me to move my car (Lawrence Dolomda – site supervisor). I did not move my car, I entered the gym. When I came out of the gym an hour later…it must have been 06:15, I found a security called (Oral Vukeya – site supervisor) and he informed me that my car was clamped. I told him to remove it and that I would not pay. I told him the reasons why I park there and that the grey Mercedes that was parked next to me was not clamped either and I asked him why. He said he is not answerable to me and that if I want my car I must pay the fine. He then turned his back on me and walked away. You know, its not even about the money, its about the principle: why am I being fined? Who was I obstructing to park if the childrens section of the gym only opens at 7 and the shops only open at 9? How is that parking *******ly? Also why wasn’t the merc clamped? Why only my car? Why me? Why am I being bul**** by these securities? What is the criteria for choosing cars that must be clamped? I want my money back…in today’s economic climate I can’t afford to pay fines for processes that don’t make sense and are not streamlined. I am only coming forward today because I did not want to be emotional and I wanted to gather my facts because I won’t let this go. I feel victimised and bul**** by the securities at this mall. I want my money back. The security company the mall uses is fidelity. I want my money back.
